Myspace Ad Offerings
Wednesday, June 21, 2006I was reading in the wsj today about how advertisers such as Disney are nervous about advertising on MySpace because of content that can be on individual pages. However, MySpace began to offer ads on their main page catered to such companies. These ads are guaranteed to not have any content of questionable character.
I have never personally bought advertising on MySpace, and many people think that the traffic is useless. However, they have a very targeted demographic which can potentially be harnessed with some proper research.
There has been a lot of action with MySpace lately, and it is quickly becoming one of the most trafficked sites on the web. Their ad revenue for 2006 is projected to be 200 million. It looks like News Corp has a huge cash cow on their hands.
