Motivation to Create Sites

I have seen many posts about motivation, and what they think motivates them better. Well, I am not going to lie, I often lose motivation to work on my sites. As you can see, there have not been many posts on this blog lately. There has not been much work done on most of my sites in fact. Part of this is because of moving etc.

The main reason why I have a lack of motivation is actually probably because I have too many ideas and not enough time. This creates anxiety, and with anxiety I end up getting nothing done. Knowing this problem, I tried to come up with a solution to solve my anxiety problems related to my business.

What I did was create a list of stuff I wanted to do like I usually do. However, instead of the timeline for this process of one day or one week, I made the list for the entire quarter. This gives me some time to get stuff done, and I plan on working through the list from top to bottom. When I get new ideas, I am going to put them on another sheet of paper, and then next quarter make up another plan for the entire quarter and see where that puts me.

Of course this might not be the best system for getting motivation to create sites, however it has worked pretty well for the last few days, and I will keep you posted on how it works down the road. To people that work on their own, what are systems you use to keep your progress organized, and motivated to work more?
